Good day to everyone

I will try and organise the posts on the themes that are need of the hour in the present day scenario.

You might ask, what is the present day scenario?

For me the only standout problem is we are living in a fragmented world.

Yes. That’s true. FRAGMENTED.

In this group there are people from all walks of life.

Many of you might be from social sciences background. Products of refined institutions and universities. I might sound like an infant to you. Please bear with me friends.

I throw you a task. Wherever you are try and do this task with your best mates, colleagues today.

Here are some words: Race, Skin colour, nationality, language, politics, religion, caste.

Just ask everyone to write down your allegiances and preferences for each of these words.

Circulate their note. You will immediately see a dichotomy.
We are all divided in to “us vs them” or “in group vs out group”.

Proven by the research of social psychologist, Henry Tajfel of Bristol university in his theory “MINIMAL GROUP PARADIGM”.

Most of these divisions are based on fictional themes or imagined realities like Religion, nation, money.

As the historian Yuval Noah Harari pointed out, we live in dual reality: Objective reality (Humans, trees, lions) vs Imagined reality (Religion, nation, corporations like apple, google)

Fragmentation in present day world is happening because imagined realities like religion and corporations are destroying and overpowering objective realities like humans (Middle east conflict), trees (deforestation).

Sometimes these fictional divisions take root in a child before 8 years of age as written by Robert Sapolsky in his book Behave.

Task of this group is to dissolve these fictional boundaries slowly but steadily.

It’s easy to destroy physical boundaries like Berlin Wall. But these Imagined/fictional ones might take generations of efforts.

I have started this effort. 

I ask of you the parents, teachers, friends and colleagues who don many roles in your daily life to imbibe these ideas and spread them.

Let’s touch maximum lives.

This work will take centuries to be complete. But we can be proud that we started today.

There are so many stories to tell that unite us. To prevent myself from wandering into the vast expanse of information, I have set a theme for each day of the week.
